Thank you for the idea. Why not turn off the possibility of creating these files manually?

Then set your lifecycle transitions to create them upon moving into the Released state(s).

Hi @ihayesjr , the Vault job processor isn't 100% reliable. It can occasionally run into errors, such as...

"The server is currently busy. Please try your operation again."

"PDF uploaded but an error occurred while attempting to copy PDF to the publish folder."

"The file cannot be opened."

"The RPC server is unavailable. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800706BA)"

There needs to be a backup method.

This is why our reseller advised us never to use the Job Processor for our release process. Instead, we use a third-party tool to generate our PDFs on release. The built-in manual PDF creation feature is disabled. Maybe this could be a solution for you as well?

I hope I’m wrong and Autodesk actually provides a reliable PDF creation process—so we can finally get rid of the third-party tool. 🙂
We actually have no true experience with the Job Processor.... we just trust our reseller.
