Add "Quantity" Field in Project Explorer "Uses" Tab

It would be helpful if some of the BOM (Bill of Materials) tab in Item Master were available in Project Explorer.  Mainly the ability to add the "Quantity" Field.  This will allow someone who does not have Inventor or want to open an assembly to know how many of a certain object is used in an assembly.  Currently you can just see that a part is used in an assembly in Project Explorer but you have no idea as to how many are in the model without opening the assembly.

Many times an Item Master record has not been created until the Project Explorer file has been released.  This adds a delay in being able to purchase parts that have long lead times or may be difficult to source.

When you add the quantity, what value is this based on?  If a part is used in multiple assemblies and have different quantity in each assembly, which quantity should be displayed?

It would be based off of the number of times it is used in the next level up or its direct parent.

But if it has multiple direct parents, which one should be displayed?

There is structure to the "Uses" tab just as there is structure in the Item Master records BOM tab.  In Item Master you can have the same part in multiple parents but it only shows the number of instances in each particular parents.  It does not add all the instances up or only show one instance with a quantity, which is what I am requesting here.

Real Inventor quantity of occurences should be shown, as well as "Normal" occurences (not phantom and Reference). So, 2 columns  are necessary to show component quantity in Uses tab.

Unfortunately, this field would not work well in the Uses or Where Used tabs as the quantity value is not a property of the file but a value that is in the BOM from the parent assembly. This is information is dedicated to the Item Master and BOM tab.
