Vault 2022 - Thin Client Sign Out Button Not Working

Hi Everyone,

I am using the new Vault 2022 Thin Client, and I find that the Sign Out button is not working for me. It just does not trigger any action. I have tried in chrome and edge, both show the same behavior. I can still log out by deleting the cookie, but this may be difficult to some users.

Does anyone else face this issue?

Is there a quick fix to this? (e.g.: like editing any of the php, css or js files on the server)

Regards

Ilyas

Try running a repair on the Thin Client installation to see if that resolves the problem. I am not seeing this issue.

Hi Irvin,

Thank you for your suggestion.

I have tried repair, reinstall, and uninstall + install. None of these have worked for me.

The Vault Thin Client is version 27.0.80.0.

Attached is a recording showing the behavior.

Regards

Ilyas

This is interesting. Have you tried this on a different system? Also have you tried it on a Incognito Mode? Also have you tried by unloading the extensions from Browser - if you have any? Just trying to figure out the cause since we haven't seen this issue.

For the client:

1. I have tried on a different computer. OS includes Windows 10 and Windows Server 2016.

2. I have tried on chrome and edge.

3. I have tried using incognito and inprivate modes. I assume incognito unloads any extensions that I have.

All of which exhibit the same behavior.

@Senthil_Kumar or @ihayesjr Has there been a resolution to this yet? Our Vault was just upgraded over the weekend and now we are noticing we cannot log out of the Vault web client or change and of the Admin settings in the web client.

Vault Pro Build 27.1.90.0 Update 2022.1.1

I have tried the repair and reinstall with no luck.

Manually uninstalled and then reinstalled the web client with no luck.

Tried logging in as multiple different Admin accounts with no luck.

Tried multiple different computers with no luck.

I have a 'test' vault server with the web client installed and i have no issues with that web client. I can easily change those settings with any of the machines i tested our live vault from.

i think my reseller has put a case in about this but i wanted to keep looking around and this is the only other instance of this issue i have seen.

I have upgraded to 2022.1.1 Autodesk® Vault Thin Client 27.1.90.0

The behavior is still the same for me with regards to the sign out button. It is still not working.

Additionally, I tested out changing the Admin settings (with an Admin account of course). The toggle switches work, but the OK button does not work if there are any changes (It works if there are no changes). Attached is a recording showing it.

Same behavior seen in Edge and Chrome.

Hi @joe.corson

We are working with @ilyas_adnm to reproduce the issue as well.

In the meantime we need some info from you.
1. Can you please get the Support Case number from your reseller?
2.  Can you please show the Console Window of the browser during log out? We want to see what is the error appearing? You can access the console window in browser using F12 key. You will see the window like below.
TC Console Log.jpg

3. And here is the workaround for you to log out. Go to Application Tab and select the server address and Storage and click on Clear. That should log out.

@joe.corson

On your network do you have a proxy server or security software that monitors or filters HTTP traffic?

@ihayesjr

No proxy server

We have a single corporate firewall, but no settings were changed during the Vault upgrade time. And i am not having the issue on our test vault, which is almost a replica of the live Vault server.

I will be speaking with someone from autodesk in 30 minutes. Not sure on the case number yet.

@joe.corson Thanks a lot for sending all the screenshots. One other question. Do you have WebDAV server installed in the same server where ADMS is installed?

Hi Joe

Thanks again for the reply. To check if it’s installed, go to Control Panel -> Uninstall Program -> Turn Windows features on or off -> IIS -> World Wide Web Services -> Common HTTP feature -> WebDAV Publishing. Please check and let us know. Thanks.

Thanks for confirming it Joe. We suspect that is the one which failing those API calls. We are investigating how to prevent it.

Right now the solution is to remove it if possible. Please check with the Administrator. But we will try to find a solution to keep it ON and also fix the Thin client issue. As soon as we find the fix we will let you know. Thanks again.
