SAP TO VAULT INTEGRATION

Hello All,

one of our customer are actually using SAP ERP . Now they are moving into Vault. They have their customer details in ERP(order number, customer name, project title, approved id etc). What they are expecting is if i give order number in vault it should fetch all the details from the ERP and it should place the details in the title block. I think we can Map the details form Vault to title block,Is it possible to fetch the details from ERP to Vault properties. Or is there any other methods to do this.

Thanks!

Regards,

Boopathi

Hi @Boopathi_Sivakumar-

I suggest you take a look at Jitterbit.  They do integrations between MRP/ERP/PDM/PLM products.  I spoke with a fellow from Jitterbit two years ago at AU about integrating our iSeries with Vault.

If you try to manually do this it will be a long road but can be done via the API, that is why I recommend Jitterbit.

Good Luck!

Thanks,

A company I worked for in a previous life used SAP and Jitterbit.  It worked pretty well.

A few things to consider though.

1. Will Vault and SAP talk bi-directional?

2. How often will Vault feed information to SAP?

3. Be sure the mapping is correct in Vault UDP's.

You can look at Jitterbit

You can look at Coolorange Powergate

My other office is using an add-in made by CADSPEC  that exports fields to import into SAP
