In the Upchain webapp, when searching for an item with multiple versions, the results are listed based on their release date. Users may accidentally select an older version of the item, which then loads the side pane and allows them to download the PDF or other translation files. For users accessing translations through the webapp, they almost always want to download the latest version of the PDF file. It would be beneficial if Upchain displayed a warning when the side pane loads or when attempting to download the PDF, indicating that the opened version is not the latest available.
Proposed Change: Implement a warning system that alerts users when they have selected an older version of an item. This warning should appear in the side pane or when attempting to download the PDF or other translation files.
User Benefit: This feature will help ensure that users are aware when they are not accessing the latest version of a document, reducing the risk of using outdated information and improving overall efficiency.
