Usability for Colour-blind people

Usability for Colour-blind people

Currently, the highlights in the plug-in can be challenging for a colour-blind user. Particularly the blue highlight for a read-only item that has been changed, and the selected/currently active item.

Another challenging thing for colour-blind users to see are the locks (these ones are challenging for me at times as well, since red and green are on opposite ends of the colour wheel). Colour-blind users have to rely on the hover over the lock to ensure they can figure out if they have the item locked or if someone else does.

Overall, if there are ways you can continue to improve the interface for colour-blind users, it would be appreciated.

Vote on this one people. If nothing else, this is a universal design situation - where improvements to the icons could help everyone get an interface that is easier to read (at least if done well, e.g. you can still use color, but you can have lock icons that look different even without colors).
