"cannot continue because the document is not saved. Please save the current document and try again"

Could it be possible for upchain plugin to automatically save the document instead of showing the error message: "cannot continue because the document is not saved. Please save the current document and try again". This would be a good way to reduce the amounts of clicks needed.

Dear @fruizVXHUM,

Thank you for submitting your idea.

Can you please describe the scenario and in which CAD system you are getting this "Save" request?

Best regards!

Hi Tomislav,

SolidWorks.

Hi @fruizVXHUM

can you please check if file.save.onrefresh Tenant property is enabled in Upchain Administration.

When enabled, the refresh button, in the cBOM/eBOM views of the CAD Plugin, saves changes to open CAD files and/or drawings locally. In this scenario Upchain does not prompt the user to rebuild/regenerate the model if one is required. When disabled, refresh button does not save changes locally. User will be prompted to manually save any changes to the open CAD model before refreshing the cBOM view.

Hi @mladen_vuk_autodesk,

We are also having this problem for one of our larger assemblies where whenever the cBOM is refreshed, the Solidworks assembly file becomes "unsaved" and you cannot proceed any further.  We have the file.save.onrefresh property enabled and still receive this error without fail anytime we attempt to check in this file.
