Improving Right-Click Menu for Item eBOM Management

Improving Right-Click Menu for Item eBOM Management

Problem: Currently, right-clicking an item's name brings up the default browser menu, which offers limited functionality and doesn't provide the options necessary for effective use within Upchain.

Fix: Enabling the right-click on an item's name to display the Upchain menu would make it easier and faster for users to access and perform actions like checking in/out or making changes to an item.

Hi @kyle_stirbet

In Upchain, we mainly use the "three-dot ellipsis" symbol to trigger actions.
Should the right-click menu options be identical to those in the "three-dot ellipsis" menu? I'd like to get your thoughts to delve deeper into this request.

I second this one. Most user interfaces like this have context menus when you right click on an object that brings up a menu that would likely be the same as clicking on the three dots. So it's a really natural action to right click on something to get additional actions or tasks.

To add to this, there are some areas of the webUI that do have additional menus when you right click on them. For example, right clicking on the column headers on the tables bring up a menu that allows you to sort or filter the table.
