Batch Export of All Items in a Project

Batch Export of All Items in a Project

I would like to see the addition of a batch export of all Items in a given project, even if the components are not in a common assembly.

This would be useful for downloading multiple files at the same time which will be used separately, instead of having to download each one by one.

E.g. I want to create a new assembly in a project that uses multiple parts that already exist in the project.

Currently I have to download each individual file, instead of being able to select multiple files to download at the same time.

Dear David,

Thank you for submitting your Idea.

We are working on implementing a new bulk export capability that would enable you to start the export of an eBOM Item that has nothing in cBOM. I believe this will help you achieve what you are asking.

If you look at this example:

You will be able to start export on the "Packing line" eBOM Item which is a placeholder in this line assembly.

What if project have multiple end items? Would user be able to bulk export all the files within a project?

Dear @smaddukuri2KE8C,

Sorry for the late reply, I was on AU2022.

Yes, you would be able but you will need to initiate bulk-export on each of the project end-items. There is no option to initiate bulk export on a range of selected end items.

Usually, the end product of a project is an assembly that needs all components that are in the project to assemble it.

How do you structure your projects and what problem are you solving with having multiple end items?

Best regards!

Tomislav
