adding geometry colour key to graphics

When viewing rendered/ coloured modelled, with elements coloured based on element type, is their a convenient way to show some type of colour key, for example to make it clear which member is

Hi,

I think this would be a good idea so hopefully the developers will pick this up and place on their backlog.

I was just wondering if you were aware of the "Object Browser" facility in the 3D Elements view which gives all sorts of information, including section names and properties for any selected object in the viewer.  I know that this doesn't help if you wanted to make a PDF or a Hardcopy of the 3D Elements view with the reference key, but it is a great way to interactively check your model.

Of course it is important to give good descriptions and names to your sections, beams and properties so that information you get like this is meaningful.  If you just leave the descriptions and names to the defaultsthen the graphical key would not make a lot of sense.

I hope this helps and hopefully the developers will take note.

Kind regards
