Rigging problem

Hello,

I'm just learning about rigging in Softimage but there is a problem

with aligning the roots with the effectors.

The Match Transform tool does not select anything with the Pick cursor and the rigging

cannot proceed.

Please help.

Hi Greencobalt,

Chain are a little sensitive with the match transform tool. It should work if you unparent the effector and force your chain on Ik mode (set a position key on the effector or use the force Ik option in the Chain parameters )

you definitely have the root constained to something else.

select the root and open the selection explorer and find the constraint operators and then delete any of them. Should work.

other than that

you can view the hierachy by using the schematic view (9 key) and check the connections.

You can break constrain by selecting the green pointer/arrow ( between the driven and driver) and tap delete key.
