Trouble Using sketchbook with Adonit Pixel stylus

Has anyone else had issues with palm rejection, accuracy and lag using an AdonitPixel stylus in Sketchbook?

I bought the Adonit after researching best stylus for iPad Air 2 and it connected fine. I used it for a very short while (a day) but since having to have my account reactivated due to a glitch the stylus doesn’t seem to work properly at all. The palm resection just freezes up the stylus, the accuracy is way out much of the time and sometimes it doesn’t draw anything at all.

ive experimented with disconnecting the pen and reconnecting, changing the ‘writing style’ in preferences etc. Nothing it’s as if it isn’t compatible with the app at all, out of the blue.

anyone got any advice or similar experience?

Do you have access to a different iPad to test it out?  We have reports that is should work.

Hi,
I can try on my partners device when he gets home. The only way I can use it at mo is without syncing Pixel to it and just using as ordinary stylus. But precision isn't great this way. I've just uninstalled the app and reinstalled on same iPad. Will test it now.

Thanks

Hi,

did you have any luck with Pixel in combination with iPad Air 2?

Thanks,

I have the same problem! I purchased an Adonit Pixel for $140AU on the grounds that both the Adonit AND Autodesk websites state that the Pixel is compatible with Sketchbook. The pairing process is supposed to be as simple as going to the Preferences in the app and choosing the Pixel from the list of styluses - IT IS NOT IN THE LIST.

Unlike the original poster, I cannot return my stylus without it being faulty or me having established that the stylus definitely does not comply with its advertising, so this is my last step in doing that before I report BOTH companies to the Australian Consumer Affairs Commission and have my products refunded.

I look forward to your reply!

I am having the same issue with regard to non-compatibility. In fact the pixel does not even show up in the menu of pens in the app settings. only the adonit jot which is not the same as the adonit pixel.

Hi her.radicalness,

I too am in AU and recently purchased the Pixel because it was in both lists - Sketchbook and Adonit's.

When I first tried pairing the pen to Sketchbook it just wouldn't connect and I thought I'd done my dough on it, especially after reading this forum and noting that the Sketchbook app only lists the Jot as compatible!

Later though, I tried it on another digital art app and it paired successfully.  On returning to Sketchbook while still paired to the other app, Sketchbook finally recognised it and it worked well.  I don't know whether I just didn't have the Pixel turned on correctly the first time around or whether by having the other app paired it somehow enabled Sketchbook to "see" it and pair.

if you still have the pen, then give it another go, it may just work for you next time!!
