Ipad Pro for Sketchbook? Drawing tablet Suggestions

Hi,

I'm wondering if the latest iPad Pro 12.9 will operate smoothly with a Sketchbook project that uses fine details and loads of layers?  I've seen quite a few videos that show the iPad Pro working really well with Sketchbook, but all examples are only of one or two layers and minimal details...I'm only a hobbyist using it for drawing and coloring, but find myself using 20-30 layers for some projects and wanted to see if anyone has any experience with iPad Pro & Sketchbook in this capacity?

Without opening up the topic too much, also wondering if there are any other recommended drawing tablets and what other use and are really happy with to get the most out of Sketchbook?  My budget is £1K so puts the Wacom Cintiq Pro's over the limit; I have a Macbook Pro with pretty good specs but like the idea of not having to connect in order to draw/sketch, hence the iPad idea...

Thanks in advance for suggestions/advice.

Jak

I would start off with the a Wacom Intuos M.  SketchBook on Mac only supports Wacom tablets.  The mobile version is great for inspiration and then you need to move it to SketchBook/Photoshop for final work.

Hi Jak
I recently bought the Apple, pad Pro 12.9" and the pencil 2 and have found it works very well. I also tried the Microsoft surface Pro but found the stylus lag too much. i've been using it for sketch book pro plus notes and a 2d cad app there are also a couple of solid modeling apps that work quite well available.

There is SketchBook for Mac/Windows - this version needs a Wacom tablet = www.sketchbook.com/thankyou

There are reports of it working with reports of Huion and XP Tablets in the forums.

Windows 10 > Designed for Surface Devices = https://www.sketchbook.com/windows10

This version will work with Wacom tablets but you need to disable touch.

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/enable-and-disable-your-touchscreen-in-windows-10-b774e2...

iOS/Android = App Store or Google Play

iOS = works best with Apple Pencil - the other Stylus' are older models.

Android = Works S-Pen or Wacom tablet (newer Android OS only):  https://community.wacom.com/us/making-your-wacom-intuos-mobile-introducing-android-compatibility/
