Increasing the **** pencil size and Canvas size confusion

As I was searching about making lines bigger and darker rather than having small and faint lines, I was found video which I was looking for.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dgN01vZktgs

This video tells that the reason why it is. It is because of resolution and canvas size. I did what he did that is 300 resolution, 4000 width and 2244 height. When I done this, its still the freaking SAME! No dark lines, no bigger lines. JUST SAME AS USUAL. Except the size canvas is changed. Which really pissing me off.

I realized that the video is old like its from 2013 which I guess its the update fault.

So is any alternative way to increase pencil size and darkness or should I delete this software and go on to another art software?

Plus could you explain about the uses of Canvas size in very VERY simple way?

Update: I found out that when I used mouse, it got bigger and darker which I wanted that! But using pen makes it small and faint lines. So its the pen sensitivity fault. I wanted to change it but I'm scared that I might do something wrong.

If you are wondering which tablet I'm using, It's Wacom Intuos Art.

Hi David,

I heard many good things about you that you help other people's problems. I'm lucky that you as main community member give me solution.

However I'm still confused about the difference between canvas size and image size. Could you explain about them in a very simple way so that I can understand well. And when will I change their size?

Thanks.

This video describes it all as it pertains to SketchBook:

Length x Width can be in inches/mm/pixels.  I prefer inches or cm as measure vs pixels.

DPI/PPI is dots/square inch = This affects image quality for printing.

You can use Photoshop or equivalent to downscale and image to that it is 300 PPI/DPI if you follow the steps for L x W noted here:
