Contacting Support for SketchBook

Before contacting the support teams, please review the Documentation. If you don’t find a solution, the next step is to identify where you bought SketchBook.....

1. If you have purchased SketchBook Pro 2020 or later and require technical support, please follow the steps noted here:

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/search-result/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Contacting-a-technical-s...

2. For older versions of SketchBook bought from the Autodesk Official Store / Autodesk Reseller / Amazon that requires a serial number or product key for SketchBook, please start here:

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/contact-support

3. Support for the FREE versions of SketchBook is in the forums:

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/search-result/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Sketchbook-Support-links...

4.  Autodesk Education version of SketchBook, please log any issues here:

I recently got a message on my iPad that Sketchbook Pro was out of date and couldn't be upgraded. I was directed to a new product called Sketchbook.

How can I transfer (or keep) my old drawings made in Sketchbook Pro? I would like to save them to my Apple cloud account...is this possible/

In any case I want to keep them somehow.

Go to the section:  Transferring files for iOS users with legacy data

Here:   https://www.sketchbook.com/help/knowledge-base/transfer-legacy-data-files/

a. SketchBook Express (SketchBookX) is free and only saves to local.

b. SketchBook Pro has option to export to .psd or save to the cloud.

OK.... So I just need to shrink the UI on my screen. In the old version before the update, I was able to make my UI smaller to fit my screen.

NOW my UI takes up most of my screen.

I tried to go into Sketchbooks preferences... nothing

I changed my computers UI and resolution preferences... nothing

So really I just need to know how to shrink my UI.

You must be kidding me. Whenever I get onto the site for posting a ticket (the link you provided as well as the link "Submit a ticket" on the general website), I am first asked to fill in my login data and after that a redirect starts to the obscure tinkercad website. This is absolutely annoying!

If you login, it should go to the submit ticket page.

When I tried to Contact Support it took me to a Tinkercad program???  I signed up for the $4.99/month, however cannot use many of the functions associated with this program.   Will cancel if there isn't anywhere to get help.  Specifically, I am trying to select and delete and it isn`t working.  Cannot figure out which version I have it was loaded just a week ago.

You have bought a Subscriptoin via the MIcrosoft Store.  This means that you downloaded SketchBook from them.

Just login with your email address to access SketchBook in Pro mode.  You can run the entire family of SketchBook on any platform

It is better to start a new conversation via a new post than to append it to this one in the future.

Also, I have just logged a ticket.  Here is a video demo using the link noted in the post:

http://autode.sk/2gm8CQ3

@Anonymous HIgh Resolution Issue in 8.5

Try this:

SketchBook 8.4.2 (32 bit)
https://autodesk.box.com/s/fioldjltjcv2acp39587p70psx6jex9q

SketchBook 8.4.2 (64 bit)
https://autodesk.box.com/s/z59y2z1zdqkjllm0r48srmu7ka9dx87s

or this:

"What I did to correct this problem under Windows 10 Creator Edition, on older software and your's, was to right click on the programs executable file, not the shortcut, and select "Properties." Then select the "Compatibility" option. Under the "Settings" select the option "Override high DPI scaling behavior Scaling performed by" and under the flyout I select the "System" option. After this adjustment, the programming will run without the 4K monitor's high definition settings scaling the programs interface so tiny. Everything will look and operate correctly. I did this on my new Wacom MobilePro Studio 16" 4K tablet/computer."

I have Sketch book pro 6 on my laptop, why is it that i have to pay a subscription fee to get Pro again?! that doesn't make any sense, whats the real difference between the two pros cause they have the exact UI and nearly the exact same features but i have to pay for one of them yearly, what scam is this!

1.If you have a SketchBook 6.x serial number, you can get a Subscription of SketchBook for 20% off via:   https://upgrade.sketchbook.com.

2. With Subscription, you can access:   Desktop versions of SketchBook (Mac + Windows), Mobile (iOS + Android) + Windows Tablet (Windows 10)

3.  Big changes from 6-8 include:   Selection Masks, Radial Symmetry and the most important one, access to the free brushes (Desktop + Windows Tablet).  https://www.sketchbook.com/help/knowledge-base/free-brushes-sketchbook-faq/

4.  When we decided to go to Subscription, the price went down.   The last known perpetual version (7) when for $65 USD.   For a year it is $29.99 and the files are universal and can be used by any 3rd party image editing program.  Not like AutoCAD or Maya or Inventor that use a more proprietary file format.

5. When using a forum, it's better to start a new post as well.  The topic of SketchBook 6 doesn't related to the title of this post.

Thanks for your understanding....

I use this program on my MacBook air and I use the trackpad for coloring in scans. I had been using the free version of the copics library for a couple months, but one day the option to use the small copics library disappeared and now I can only use the normal colors, NO COPIC LIBRARY ANYWHERE TO BE FOUND. How do I get the free copic library back?

@kedmondsbtlis  Please reset the Window Layout via:  Window > Default Layout.  The free mode still has access to the copic marker set.

It's a shame that the Amazon App has all but been forgotten, can developers bring us out of the stoneage and show a lil love in an update as has recently been done in Android mobile devices...David Lau

Thanks David

But none of these solutions worked.  Still don't know what my serial number is.  But I have seen in other posts where the tech has sent the serial number and activation code directly.  can you please send mine?

Hello, new to Sketchbook. What a fantastic app!

I just got a Wacom Bamboo Tip Stylus & was wondering if you'll be adding support for it with Sketchbook. Unless I move very fast, lines look shaky within your app.  Tried it with their Bamboo Paper app & it works really well so I know it's possible.

Thanks.

I use Facebook for my sketchbook subscription and would like to delete my Facebook account, is it possible to delete my Facebook account without losing the ability to maintain my subscription?  I have been unable to connect my Facebook account with my Autodesk account. Thanks!

Hello,

we are two art-teachers (Germany). Our pupils are working with ipads and we are planing to use the app: "sketchbook" to teach them basics in productdesign.

Itś not so easy for us to find out all functions of the app.

It would be helpful, if someone could just answer our questions about the app in a short way ... 😉

For example: We spend hours for searching "drag and drop" for a selection ...

Is there someone we could ask?

I hope you can read this - unfortunally Iḿ not an english teacher ... 😉

Greetings

Katha

On iPad Air 3, iOS 13.4.1, latest version of the program:

In Gallery, right bottom corner, Share, Save Image.

Image saved, but the program is not usable after that: cannot draw, panels are active and switch tools (but it is useless), can continue to work only after restarting the program. Switching a layer makes the program crash.

How can this be reported to developers?
