Hello, I just started using sketchbook on my iPad and I’m quite frustrated about a certain aspect. Is there a way to change the color of an object? Let’s say I’m doing the final lines in black but after doing it now I want it in a different color. Do I have to do it all over again or is there an easier way to change it? Thanks a bunch!

You can use Layer Lock.

You need to prepare what you draw and use Layer Lock in your drawing workflow.
The link is not working anymore. I have the same issue with recolouring but locking the layer does not make any difference. When I try various features like "Color burn", "overlay" or other I still cannot change the colour. Could you please some more detailed instructions on how to proceed?
Thank you in advance! Arina
i know this is a few years old but i was having the same issue and the links were all broken. i found a video Here
i will attempt to describe it in words. make sure your outline (or whatever you want to color) is on its own layer. hit the transparency lock, not "lock layer". select whatever color you want the object to be, and color over it. you do not need to be precise, it will only color the existing lines. (i just use a large brush with opacity at 100)
hope if anyone else came here looking for the answer this helps
Hi! I need help, please. I'm using Samsung tab s7 and I was trying to change the color or the text or shape but then it's not changing to the color that I like. the color only showing is either black or white. like if I use yellow it shows white and if I change it to blue it shows black. and I check the lock icon it's not locked too.
