Changing Canvas size - Autodesk Sketchbook for Mobile

I'm looking to change the canvas size in Android (mobile, more specifically on a Google Pixelbook). I know I can resize a layer with Transform. I want to change the overall canvas size however: Expand the size of the overall image or crop the overall image.

Just so as there is no confusion, I mean to expand the canvas size of an already made drawing.

How do I do that on Autodesk Sketchbook for Mobile?

Cheers!

You can only change the size of the canvas on iOS/Android/UWP at the start of the sketch.  You can't crop it after the sketch has been drawn.

Thanks for the response!

Autodesk Sketchbook, being awesome as it is, I find this functionality to be lacking!

I’m on iOS and also would like to change canvas size on-the-fly. AutoDesk help pages are confusing as it seems to indicate one can do this but the instructions simply result in zooming in or out. A work-around for me was to copy the layer and paste into a new sketch with a different canvas size.

Hi! Can you please tell me how do you do that? How do you copy the layer and paste into a new sketch with different canva size? I can't find that option on iPad. Thank you.

In the layer editor, tap on layer and there is an option to copy/cut/paste.

You may also use the selection tools (top menu bar) to make a selection to copy the selection to a new 'file'.

Definitely can be useful, but just think if you mistakenly make in too small and your image gets badly cropped, and when you change it back it's gone forever! For now, maybe we should stick to screenshotting it and then layering it on a new canvas...

Brilliant and liked. nice way to save pre-cropped work to revisit. Rather than coping with hindsight.
