Cannot Import Images

I have tried all of the band-aid fixes such as reinstalling, clearing data and cache, nothing is working, i was working fine 2 days ago, and now suddenly the app has had a stroke and can't even and won't even attempt to open even a measly .jpg

What is going on, how can I fix it, and why should I continue using a graphic design product that can't even do basic graphic design?   From a lot of the responses I've seen, you guys don't really know whats going on, judging as how a lot of people have this problem but I see very few who actually got it fixed. 

I like your product but if I can't import my references I'll be using something else

Reset SketchBook via backing up and deleting this folder:  /Autodesk/SketchBook3.
