Simulation Mechanical 2018.1 has been out for some time, but I am seeing some customers who do not have it installed. There may be some reason that this update is not showing in the Autodesk Desktop App.
If you have Sim Mech 2018, go to the "Help > About" dialog. (Click the arrow next to the "?" in the top-right corner of the interface.) If the Build is 2018.00.00.0047 then you do not have the latest version.
- Download the attached file "Simulation_Mechanical_2018.1_Update.zip".
- Unzip the file. (Note that the default behavior in Windows is to show the contents of the zip file; it does not unzip it. The file needs to be unzipped in order for the installer to work.)
- Read the file "Sim Mech 2018.1 update release notes.pdf" for the installation instructions, changes, known issues, etc.
- Double-click the file "Simulation_Mechanical_2018.1_Update.msp" to run the installation.
After the installation completes, start Sim Mech and go to the "Help > About" dialog. The build number should be 2018.01.00.0053.
