INV 2022 plug-in missing

in past releaases of INV there was a plug-in that connected to Sim Mech.  I don't see the plug-in in 2022.  I know support of Sim Mech went away years and years ago.  Has that finally caught up to the INV distributable?

If such a plug-in is available how can i get it?  some of the users are still using SimMech with INV 2021 and were looking to continue.  I know the transition path is to Inventor Nastran

Hi @P_Marshall

I had not noticed that, but you are correct. The transfer to Sim Mech is shown in Inventor 2021 but not Inventor 2022.

The files that do the transfer are provided with the Sim Mech installer, not the Inventor installer. Normally, just registering the files in Sim Mech would make the add-in appear in Inventor, but that is not happening with Inventor 2022. I went through this page in the Sim Mech 2018 help, but I could not get the tab to appear in Inventor. See "CAD Setup and Troubleshooting" if you want to try some things.

Another aspect to try is opening the Inventor file directly from within Sim Mech. I think that worked at least through Inventor 2021. Does that still work with an Inventor 2022 model?

If it does not work, then exporting the Inventor file to STEP seems like the next best option.

If not provided, indicate the version of Inventor Nastran you are using.
If the issue is related to a model, attach the model! See What files to provide when the model is needed.
