Additional Resources / Tutorials

Hi everybody,

I have completed all tutorials on "start&learn" section coming with Simulation Mechanical but they are not enough for me to learn in detail.

Could you recommend me a book or web site or any other resources including more linear and nonlinear analysis tutorial or lessons. It's not important if it's free or not but I need it as soon as possbile.

Thank you in advance

Hi Egemen,

You may want to look at the thread from a few days ago: Online course on FEA.

Also, there is a section titled "Examples" in the "Start & Learn > Learn > Help > User's Guide" that has several step-by-step examples.

Also, feel free to ask questions here is you have something specific that you want to know.

Hi John,

Thank you for your reply.

I've completed all examples in the "Start & Learn > Learn > Help > User's Guide" that has several step-by-step examples. But as you know thye are general examples.

I've also visited the thread "online coure on FEA" but there is no specific information on this there.

If it's possible I need tutorials indicating which contact type is conveninet wihich type of fit in an assembly and more linear and nonlinear analysis examples.

There is detailed information about contact types on "help" section but it's so theoretical, as you know leraning by tutorials are very efficient way.

If you recommend a book, it will also be very useful.

Thank you in advance

Best regards

Hi  Egemen,

The official Autodesk training guides are produced by Ascent Education, the Simulation Mechanical training guide is two parts and each runs about $75.

Hi Egeman,

Here is a list of all the official training resources that I could find:

  1. Autodesk provides free meshing tutorials as well as free analysis tutorials on the Simulation Mechanical help site.
  2. Engineering Exploration is an Autodesk site geared towards educators teaching CAE, module 1,2,3, and 6 provide indepth technical information regarding analysis types that can be performed in Simulation Mechanical.
  3. Ascent has for sale a number of Autodesk Official Training Guides for Simulation Mechanical.
  4. Autodesk Building your Simulation IQ Webinars

Thank for your replies, but I'm aware of all of them. It seems that there is no addtitional free resources like the one in Simulation Mechanical Help section.
