Screencast Recording Utility has stopped working

As the title of this thread says: "Screencast Recording Utility has stopped working". 

Uninstalling and reinstalling does not solve problem. 

 

Any ideas?

Hi @Anonymous,

 

Was it working before and suddenly stopped working or is it the first time you installed and it never worked for you. Looking at the screenshot, I am assuming you are windows. Is it possible for you to got to %temp% folder in windows explorer and look for Screencast.dmp file and email that to the following email address: screencast.feedback@autodesk.com

Hi @Anonymous

 

Thank you for the Screencast.dmp file. I will take a look at this tomorrow. In the mean time, can you please try the below steps and let me know, if this fixes the issue for you:

- Reboot the machine so that all the resources are freed

- Uninstall the Screencast Recorder

- If for some reason, if the uninstall doesn't delete the following directories, go ahead and delete the following directories:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Autodesk\Chronicle

    C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins\Autodesk Chronicle.bundle

    C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Chronicle

- In registry (Run regedit), and delete *Screencast* Key from the HKCU\Software\Autodesk

My screencast has stopped working as well. i have cleaned all my screencast folders and uninstalled more than once. there is nothing screencast on my computer.

When i reinstall, the program loads and then closes right away. no crash error, nothing. i need this software and i cannot get it working!!
