Can you record audio that is playing from the computer with a Screencast? Not the audio from a microphone. But, the computer audio.

Thanks

Hi @Anonymous,

Thank you for your feedback. we do not support that feature right now but it's a good idea to have that in the future. I think there is a workaround but I haven't tried myself, instead of using a recording device for input sound, you can try to select any internal output device to be your input sound devices.

Thank you,

Peter Nguyen

Some time ago I suggested to add / to merge system audio (computer audio) to user audio. Just to replace the micro with computer-audio is only the half solution - an option "use micro only / use computer audio only / use both micor and computer" would be great.

FonePaw Screen Recorder can record both system&mic sound and it is also easy-to-use. You might want a try. OBS is also an excellent open source screen recorder which can record system&mic sound. You can use any of them up to your will.

I guess what you have said is to record the system sound from the computer. I think it is particularly easy to achieve using VideSolo Screen Recorder.

Despite being named after screen recorder, it actually includes the feature of the audio recorder. It is capable of recording both system audio and microphone audio in lossless quality.

It has two versions respectively for Mac and Windows. You can try its free version to see whether it suits you.

In case you are in urgent need, check here to see how to record audio with it.

The easy solution to record audio from computer is use a third-party software.

I know windows player can record system sound too, but the sound quality is just not very good.

So the tool I'm using is joyoshare audio recorder, and it can also edit the recordings conveniently.
