Hi,   I am aware Autodesk is trying to find an optimal way to create a link between RSA and Revit for years. Analytical model creation in Revit nearly always causes accuracy issues due to misaligned nodes/members and FEM simplification.    My opinion on this, why we can't directly export / transfer a 3D solid model of the Revit physical model to RSA for analysis? It should be %100 accurate and there is no need for conversion. RSA has 3D solid model mesh creation and solvers already. 3D solid analysis will be much more realistic due to less simplification and current PCs have much more capable than previous generations. RSA can use AMD/NVIDIA GPUs for computation with updates.    Kindly consider analytical model creation roadmap again. There is no suffice solution for years maybe converting Revit physical model directly to 3D solid with material specs will be much easier and more efficient. This can be done by RSA by directly meshing the Revit physical model and solve it. Why need analytical automation or conversion?  That method is not feasible for most of the time.    Thanks  Show More

Please provide built in analysis module for creating shell elements from bars like in the attached add in.    (API) macro for creating panel profiles from bars - Autodesk Community - Robot Structural Analysis Products   I can create shell elements from steel bars with Dlubal RFEM or Idea Statica Member or any other applicable FEM software. RSA has the calculation/analysis feature for shell elements but there is no option for bar to shell conversion and analysis workflow.    Most modern FEM software can do this because it can provide more detailed results when needed.    Thanks Show More

In order to have correct and usable results in the non-linear calculation of cases of pseudostatic forces, I propose to give the user the possibility to choose to assign the sign of a pseudostatic case to the results of the quadratic combination (in the same way as the seismic quadratic calculation). A good feature would be to save the current diagrams/maps settings and recall them across projects.   An example is when I am exploring the results on a steel structure,  I display the moment diagrams and axial force maps as follows:   Clicking Results-Diagrams for Members-My Moment-Parameters-Differentiated-Filled-Text-Apply. (8 clicks) Then Results-Maps on Members-Fx-Parameters-Text-Scale-Automatic scale-Apply (8 clicks) That is 16 clicks to get to the display options that I used all the time on every project. If there was a way I could save these settings and do something like clicking on 'Saved Displays'-'Fx Maps & My Diagrams'-Apply. This would only be three clicks and very useful and would allow us to build up groups of display options that will streamline workflows.   Hopefully this gets seen and wouldn't be too difficult for the team to code as well.  Show More

Hi,   Please allow users to add grids and dimensions to section definition. It is really hard to design a custom section without reference lines and added dimensions for controlling it after design.    Please also change the colour theme of the section definition and match it with regular geometry view theme. Hello,   I think RSA need CBFEM for more flexible steel connection design like IDEA StatiCa. RSA connection capabilities are far more limiting than other connection designer software.    Please consider adding updated flexible custom connection module like IDEA StatiCa.   I am using RSA and IDEA StatiCa with bim link and it works but why we cannot create customer connection in RSA too?     Regards Show More
