Implement a system so that panels can be drawn in any order and overlap such that the user can assign a meshing priority order. This would greatly increase the efficiency and accuracy of modeling concrete slabs with different thickness areas which is common in actual buildings.

Snapping has improved leaps and bounds in Robot but I am still mystified as to why it is possible to snap to an arbitrary point in 3D space. My idea would be for all snaps to be to something (whether node, intersection, perpendicular to item etc) UNLESS you hold say ALT. Example: I have drawn a steel frame and want to add cladding panels I have the nodes defined for the steel frame and really just want to snap to these and occasionally perpendicularly to members. If I am not careful with my clicking I choose a point in random 3D space which looks adjacent to the node I am trying to select but is in fact not the node. Thanks, Rich

Hi everyone, it could be a very powerful tool to give to the user the option to "record" a sequence of commands in a macro, and have the opportunity to edit them in VBA or C+. Hi, footfall analysis is a very useful tool in Robot but it would be even more if VDV analysis would be implemented to provided a map view as per footfall. At the moment the only way to do it is by hand calculations. A general view of the whole floor area would be much better. It would be nice to have also a sort of table plotting similar to Figure 7.6 and 7.7 (SCI P354) depending on the walking frequency. Thanks

Hello , i wanna say that there is a new algerian DTR C2.47 , it's C2.47/NV 2003 instead of C2.47/NV99. it's practicaly the same with some modifications, so i hope that your company will make changes about it and will also include 3D wind generation of this code. About the steel connections. i hope that will be improvments cuz RSA doesn't give all steel connections. and it's the same for the foundations , it's very complicated to calculate a shooting foundation.

Hello, I've just wondering if ever that we can display graphically the "punching shear capacity ratio" in the design of slab and mat foundation, this is one good way of verifying the adequacy of the thickness of slab and specifically very useful to mat foundation.

When defining standard RC members (i.e not user defined sections from section builder) with non-symmetrical sections (for instance "L" shape sections) then the local coordinate system follows its sides and not the principle axes of the section (the opposite is for a section created in section builder that has its LCS according to the principle axes, but in this case there is no design procedure in Robot). This causes inaccuracies in the results. At least, it should be as it is for steel members that users can chose between pinciple axes or not.

The provisions of chapter 6 of EN1998-1-1 (EC8) must be included in Robot's calculations which concern Steel buildings for seismic response. It is a major subject in seismic areas where Robot has only a limited use in Steel structures until now. Robot’s calculations concern only elastic behavior against seismic action and can be used only if we consider a value of seismic behavior factor: q=1.00-1.50. At the moment it is not allowed in Robot to be used q>1.50..

Hi, Any chance of including the South African Concrete Design Code SABS 0100 in future releases. Although SABS 0100 is based on the British Standard BS 8110 the ability to tie the concrete design with South African reinforcement shape codes (already available in robot) within Robot would be fantastic. Hello Normally when modelling a structure in ROBOT that expose to corrosion the user has to create two cross-sections for the member in order to analyse both scenarios. I would be huge time-saving if ROBOT would allow to input internal and external corrosion (example circular hollow sections), and these are calculated automatically, allowing to turn on and off the corrosion on the members that have an alternative corroded section. Include US codes for steel connections, wood, masonry. The US code steel connections design is desperately needed. The lack of US wood design is frustrating. The work arounds that involve sizing members by hand with results generated by robot aren't very efficient.

Can I put a shout out to Autodesk developers to please, please, please fix the bug that causes Robot to crash when attempting to edit steel member design properties? This happens regularly when you double click on a member to edit the design settings. It doesn't seem to follow any specific pattern but it has consistently being happening since I started using Robot which was on version 2018 at the time.

It's bad that Robot doesn't have an option to display diagram of requred shear reinforcement area (stirrups) in RC beams and columns. Now, it's just able to show stirrup spacing as a diagram. I propose to add the calculation of the settlement of the foundation for “foundation design” for the code “"Fascicule N°62-Titre V" because we have already the possibility to use the pressiometric curve to calculate the allowable stress. If you add another column for the pressiometric modulus it will be fascinating. For RC slab, It would be great if you can add a head drop calculation for each columns not only a column head. at the moment this can be only added by altering the slab thickness, I wish this can be part of the punching shear calculation.
