Hi, Just building on Robot's capability to work with shell/plate elements, I think it would be very useful if Robot's results display capability is expanded to display shell/plate stresses distributed through the thickness of shell/plate element when displaying the shell/plate thickness. Allow me to elaborate. Currently, to see any stress results in shell/plate elements in Robot, we are required to 'PICK' which layer of stress in the thickness of the shell/plate we would like to see (see image below). We can also only see one 'Stress Layer' of results at one given time. If this results display options could be expanded, so to see the actual thickness of the shell/plate with its actual stress distribution shown throughout thickness (see image below), would be very useful to see the overall stress distribution along shell/plate elements and overall structure. ANSYS Shell/Plate Model The model above is an ANSYS model. All elements are shell/plate elements with Identical properties to the Robot model shown in previous image. As it can be observed from the image above and the image below, ANSYS lets you display the stress results in the shell/plate elements through the thickness of it. A similar functionality in Robot would be very useful. Picture below, is the same picture as above, but showing the plate elements without thickness and only one 'layer' of stress (similar to Robot's current functionality). Please let me know if I'm not clear on what my idea is or if you would like me to expand any further on any point mentioned above. Cheers!
