Hello,Robot Structral Analysis team.My name is Mohammed Ata , Structural design Engineer from Egypt.I am a good user for Robot structural Analysis Professional.I published many Tutorials for RSA on YouTube on my channel.I give regular lectures for Robot here at Certified Centers from Autodesk In Cairo. Through the time i am using RSA , i have comments to be taken into account and for development the new versions of RSA: . 1- For RSA , we draw the column from its geometrical center (only one position to model).This option imposed me to draw the model incorrectly(90%).The concentrating beams and its position with the slab. - I overcame this problem with option/offset.It mak fictious rigid link between different columns.I hope so much if there are many options to draw columns from different corners. . 2-Adding combination type(Envelope >> ( or / and) ) to easily make the max of different combinations through 1 combination.This make me easily explore the maps for one combination.Explore results for one combinations.I can design for the combinations called Envelope i can easily deal with this type of combination. . 3-Adding options during selection (1 story / all stories). This options is very effective during seismic analysi/design.Sometimes after analysis,i want to select wall (in all stories) to delete to model new ones.In RSA i must go to 3d model to delete thin go to plan view to model and so on. . 4-Reshape option If i drew a wall with plan length 2m and find that the wall should be increased or decreased to 2.6m or 1.50m . I must delete the wall and draw another one with the new length.Also for beams , also for slabs ..for all objects. . 5-For Design Design in Robot is not practical for local codes. 6-We want to display load values on floors as maps instead of / in addition to values. 7-Merge/ objects These tools are very effective and useful for modification our plans. We want to Divide a slab area to change some of its pieces' thicknesses or change their live or covering loads. We want to easily merge and divide with grids and with drawn beams and lines. . 8-Selection We want to select story to replicate it i another story not another level. We want to select a story 3 and replicate it in the story 6. . 9-Show selected objects only. This options is useful if want to show only the walls or columns (not in a new window) As in Robot. This is not effective. . 10-For design After design, exploring the results is a big problem in Robot. For beams/ we want to explore results as number of bars for each beam. For columns & walls / we want to explore results as ratio of reinforcement for each. . 11-Link with Revit For version before 2014, we can export reinforcement from robot to Revit easily. Now we can't do this. This exportation is wonderful link between Revit and Robot. We would like to check this link and be repaired in React. . 12-For loads. If i add a live load 5Kn/m' for a beam and want to modify it, i go to load table to change its value (this is good for one story). For 2 stories or more, this option is almost impossible because there are many beams with different load types and sections. I suggest add more options in load definition windows such as (delete or replace load) to easily change the load on a specific object. Also for slabs. . 13-For stairs, is there any chance to add models of different stairs to the React library to rapidly add the stairs type not drawing the model from the beginning. Just saving time. . I am waiting for all these features to be developed in the newer versions of RSA , i hope to see them in reality. Thank you so much and sorry to be boring !
