Workstation configuration to run a model above 200000 nodes

Dear all,

Currently i am trying to analyze a heavy Robot model with about 200000 nodes ( It is a 70 storey building).

My laptop takes about 5 hours to run the model. Also after analyzing it is hard to rotate and filter results quickly because it is too heavy. ( Analyzed model is about 15 Gb)

I am planning to assemble a workstation to run this model quickly and filter results with following configuration

Processor     -  Intel Core i7 7700k 4.2-4.5 Ghz Quad Core (7th Generation)

RAM            -  Team elite plus 16 Gb 2400 MHz DDR4

Graphiocs    -  Palit Geforce GTX 1050 StormX 2Gb GDDR5

SSD              - Toshiba Q300 240Gb SATA 6Gbps SSD

Hard drive    - Seagate Barracuda 1 Tb 7200RPM

I would like to know whether this configuration would help me to run and analyze this model quickly and easily.

If not please give me a suitable configuration to run my model

Thank You!

32+ GB RAM

If you are able to reduce number of panels....

Send us model to check

Thank you  Rafal.

sorry i cant send you the model at the moment.

Are you suggesting that my proposed hardware configuration will do my job with a 32 Gb RAM ?

Which hardware should i improve to make the model easy to rotate and filter after analyzing ?

Regards,

Sandeepa

Since it is a already modeled one by the designer the number of panels cannot be reduced.

Is there any way to send you this model to check privately. Since it is confidential.

My laptop

(Robot uses max 6 GB RAM during calculations as far as I have seen ; so 16 can be enough depending on other opened applications)

Can you please show me the way to get

1) Bending moments in core wall.

2) Forces of the connection of the two towers at level 39 to 42.

3) How to perform dynamic analysis

4) I am confused with load cases generated and i want to know how to get maximum force diagrams

I have sent you the model before

Thank you!
