Dear Pawel

Thank you for the update. I really do appreciate your efforts on product and I also strongly do believe that everyone here has a good reason to criticize the updates (which is to improve RSAP and you).

You know how hard to make changes behind the scenes. It's all okay and I really respect it. But, all these changes you made (the ones you published); they seem like it should be something like RSAP 2020.x (or whatever). I wouldn't name it as RSAP2021.

  • GUI is the same. Why there is no improvements on GUI?
  • Code checking, view results parts, nearly everything is the same.
  • You added 3 new codes. They are all useful and perfect to have them. But you haven't touched Chinese codes for years (as an example).
  • I see there are too many feature requests and some of them are really useful. But we have none of them.
  • We even need a plugin to merge bars. RSAP cannot do it itself.
  • These is no option for circular base plates.
  • And it goes like this.

I don't know if I'm thinking wrong but this is my opinion. When you said "long list" for the release notes; well, I was expecting a really long list.

Please, don't get me wrong, but all these things I'm saying and pushing, have only one reason; to make a better RSAP software.

Best

I certainly prefer them not to touch the GUI (except for the RC modules, which need to be simpler and cleaner). The point about the RSAP GUI is simplicity, so please only modify it if you are making it simpler, but not for adding more GUI controls which honestly would harm Robot.

But, apart from that, I agree that Robot needs lots of enhancements in other areas. Just please don't touch the GUI, except for RC, and unless it's for making it even simpler.

Well done team!

A lot of really good improvements.

Core wall changes are a massive improvement.

Sequential gravity load is HUGE!

And the 4k screen now working is lovely.

Thanks, keep it up.

Tony

The sequential analysis is a good addition, and I've found it to work well so far.

I hope that in the future versions ease of use and GUI are looked at? Eg there are little things which need to get tweaked each time to get a smooth model, which are not immediately obvious. I discovered much of these tweaks from searching the forum. This is off-putting to new users & I feel the learning curve is a bit too steep.

I'm waiting for the "mid-year update".  For the previous versions it came in august and september.

Can we expect it to come soon för RSAP 2021?

@HenkaCarlsson  thank you for asking. This year we are exposing new features through the Preview portal to gather more feedback from you, along the way. Would you like to join ?

Is there any news on when we will be able to reduce in-plane stiffness of panels?

But a "Preview" is not the same as an update. So the question is still not answered.
