Visualisation issues in load and combination tables

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi,

I am currently using Robot 2018 and I have a problem with the visualisation of the context menu (right click -> Table Columns) for Load, Combination and mass tables. I can open and view it with regard to results (e.g., displacements), but when I try to do so in the above mentioned categories it appears as if there is something in front of it covering the box. I also cannot see the load combinations defined either automatically or code-based, and clearly I cannot fix it until I don't see the context menu in the relative table.

I have tried to restart the laptop, opening the same project with two different versions of Robot (2017 and 2018) just to verify if the same problem persists and it does. It is something that suddenly arose so I don't see a particular cause for it.

If any of you have experienced something similar or have any guess to sort it out I would be extremely grateful.

Many thanks for your help.

Giulia

Hi Arthur and thanks for your prompt response.

I have just tried to rename the .dll but unfortunately this just eliminates the side bar, which I would actually like to have and it is not the one overlapping the other box. Unfortunately the problem still persists (as image attached), just without the side bar. Overall, unluckily nothing changed apart from the side bar disappearing.

I more than happy to try other solutions if you have any idea of the potential cause.

I omitted to mention that I am using Windows 7 on my laptop.

Many thanks,

Giulia

Hi @Anonymous

Has this always been like that on this computer or is started at some moment?

Hi Artur,

It is a new thing for the loads and the mass tables at least in the 2018 version (which I installed a couple of weeks ago). With regard to the combination table I couldn't say because I have always been able to display code combinations and just today I had the need to use that context menu.

I cannot recall it being an issue in the 2017 version but I verified this morning and it does the same thing.

On the other hand, I didn't install any software or have done any update for a long time.

Hope this helps,

Thanks,

Giulia

Hi Giulia,

Could you try to rename your CfgUsr folder to e.g. 1_CfgUsr?

C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Professional 201x\CfgUsr

Hi Artur,

I have tried, but Robot automatically creates a new one renamed as the initial one and once started I cannot rename the new folder one because I assume the software is using it.

Hi @Anonymous

Could you check if setting the text scale to 100% helps (in case it is not 100%)?

Hi Artur,

Thank you again for your help. I have just tried and attached the result. I would tend to say that this is maximum it can get so thank you very much for your time and effort.

Best,

Giulia
