User defined composite beam

can I create a composite beam with user defined material properties in robot structural analysis 2025?

yes . Just choose the base material(steel or concrete) and the section properties will be calculated based on this choice.

Just be aware that ,for composite sections , IX will be not calculated by RSA . You will have to insert it manually on "Ruser" section database.

You can choose any material as base material of any available database in RSA ,including custom materials created by you.

Also , check this thread to related problems about composite sections which I do not know if they have been corrected

Thank you Rafacascudo the reason why Ix is not calculated is probably because it is defined as the axis into the paper/screen. Perhaps the solution would be in changing the section axes to x and y in the section definition instead of the y and z which are automatically prescribed by the system in Robot 2025 (as shown in the screen shot below).

Not possible. Bending inertia axes will always be Y and Z in RSA .
