Subscription Robot 2018???

Dear Forum Members/support team,

Who of you will renew the subscription contract for Robot 2018??? I'm struggling with this topic becouse as far as I can read on the web there are no new features for this year and I can't see a luminous future for 2019 version and so on.

REACT seems to be iced to the technical preview 4......

I really don't know what I have to do, and I'd like to have your opinion.

Greetings

Could you please share with us complete information. Robot 2018 didn't released, so how we know that won't be any significant features in 2018.
I hope Autodesk doesn't plan to leave Robot on this level because Robot need more improvements.
Regards

Dear Stefano ,

I agree with you!

After a very disappointing 2017 version with (very) minor improvements over 2016 one , I don´t really expect any good surprises for the 2018 version. I hope to be wrong.

Ok , this was expected as React was launched like it would be the Nirvana for structural enginneers , something like a Robot on steroids.

But now , React seems to be stuck.

This last post from Mr. Brian M. Frank ,answering a blog forum question "React ended?", is almost enigmatic.

"To learn more about our future strategy for structural analysis and design, please look out for an upcoming post on BIM and BEAM in April."

Looking forward for that "upcoming post "

By the way ,what is "BIM and BEAM" ?

Good Morning Rafael

I have just a "little hope".

BIM AND BEAM is the blog for structural engineers of Autodesk that you can find here: http://blogs.autodesk.com/bim-and-beam/ where lately talk only about Revit, Advance Steel, and Dynamo ...... months ago, before the big silence, in the blog there was a lot of post about Robot or REACT development.

I'm a little bit painful for this situation.

Cheers

Ciao Stefano,

come va?

I suggest you to take a look to post "Robot 2018" (in the first page of the forum).....a group of very very furious users.

Take a look to my reply in this post and add your opinion.

Ciao

Roberto

Hello. my recommendations simply switch to CSI products. for buildings Etabs is perfect and SAP for FE general modelling...

Autodesk are killing all software to integrate into revit, and still no good result...

unfortunately, we just did and lost 20 years of investment in Robot...

best,

fady
