Hi

Please could you advice where can a person download the codes used in Robot we use in South Africa. Not all codes is listed in the option especially on reinforcing under design codes. We have attached the specific are of the problem. If there is not a code currently available how do we alter or make a new one. We are currently looking for the RC Structure under Job Preference code. We have highlighted the required codes that we could not find for South Africa standards

The list of codes available in Robot is limited to these accessible in Job Preferences. It is not possible for a user to add his/her design code to the program.

Could you please tell us something about design codes in South Africa.

I am interesting is Eurocode acceptable and do you have supervisors who check calculation in detail (for construction permit).

Hi Leo,

I'm not sure what design codes are used / accepted in Hong Kong so that I could indicate how to set them in RSA Job Preferences provided they have been implemented in the program. Assuming that they are British Standards the easiest would be to select Great Britain in the regional settings in Preferences and then change the codes from BS EN to BS in Job Preferences.

I hope this helps.

Hi @Anonymous

If Egyptian code is compatible with Eurocodes then you may use EC settings as available in Robot.
