Reinforcement cages lifting points

Hi,

I am writing to seek your guidance on modeling reinforcement cages for lifting operations. Specifically, I am interested in understanding how to model a reinforcement cage based on a reinforcement drawing, considering self-weight, top and bottom layers, and the bracing system.

If there are any tutorials or resources available that can assist me in this process, I would greatly appreciate your sharing them with me.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Thanks.

hi @Douklam03

reinforcing bars can be modeled as beam grids. for ligatures, either with a node at the bars crossing, or with compatible nodes, or with dummy bar elements, or with rigid links.
you need to know whether the plan is 2D or 3D. have you an example ?
in either case, you can either open the dxf/dwg plan or use it as a background layer.

Note that you can cut bars or obtain nodes by a plane.

Best Regards
