reduced wall stiffness

Hello,

I am trying to reduced the stiffness of rc wall in order to check horizontal deflection.

Is putting values of 0.5(f22) for both membrane and flexural stiffness  correct(pls. see attached screenshot and model file)?

I've tried to run the calculation with this value but I received multiple type 1 warning.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

This one is classic . You have set the orthotropy direction of some panels on the global X direction while your walls lie on the global YZ plane.

You also have incoherent meshes

hi @saclovitzky

to refer to what @Rafacascudo  says about inconsistent meshes, simply modify the points on the edges of panel 130[1][6] with 143[3]. For 130 you can delete the intermediate point.

Thanks Rafa for the reminder(I overlooked it , corrected it and works fine),also can you comment whether putting 0.5(f22) for both membrane and flexural stiffness are the correct set-up for reducing the stiffness of rc wall by 50%.

it seems so, Just check if 22 is the direction you want reduced . Just try,  setting it as 1 , 0,5  and zero and check if the results are logical
