RC member type and Torsion design query

Hi there,

  • I have several elements which make up a curved RC member. When defining the member type (within the support width area), I have selected the check-box "according to structure geometry". By selecting this option, I am hoping that Robot will recognise that the internal segments of the member should have support widths equal to zero and the end segments will have support widths according to the supporting columns. Is this the case?
  • Also does Robot design for torsional forces when carrying out the RC design in the 'Required Area of Steel' design module?

Kind regards

Hi @mustafahesenow

Thanks for the information.

Following on from the question regarding torsion checks within the design, I can see that the reinforcement information is provided in tabular format but is there a way to extract the design calculations for each member from the "required area of steel" module?

Hi @Anonymous

If you mean calculation note then it is not possible in this module of the program.
