problem with nodal support

Hi

I don't have access to the RX Ry RZ when trying to set support on the model (see picture attached). I susecpt this to be the cause of all the instabilities that I'm getting in the models I've tried.

I'm only a 1 week user of the program so I must have overlooked something but i just can't figure out what that is.

can someone please help me with this before the computer suffers irreversible damages 🙂 ?

Thanks and regards

stephane

Try to change a model type from 3D truss to 3D Frame (Geometry > Structure Type).

thanks you for your answer. this has solved all the problems of supports and instabilities!!!

this leads me to ask you, if possible, what the main differences are between a 3D frame and 3D truss? in the case of an electrical tower, woudl you classify it more into 3D Frame or 3D Truss?

thanks and regards

For a truss model all connections among bars are pinned so I'd rather use a frame model for such structure having continuous side legs with truss (or end releases) bars as diagonals.
