Hi,

Trying to model the attached pipe as a pipe column. Robot does not allow for a pipe column beam connection design or does not have such a template.  Suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your interest and effor to reply.

@nrogers58

you can design the lower anchor, but I do not believe that it is possible to make steel-wood connection

When I go to connection definition it will not allow me to select a circular section in the P family.

Hi,

I have completely reconfigured my model. I have tabled the steel pipe column design.  At first I added 6 x 6 RC columns fixed. I actually got the calculation to run wo an instability message. I had the "separate structure" penalty message.

So now I have added tons of concrete and added joist stiffiners.  No matter what I do, the building falls down.

I need help.

Thanks in Advance,

Neal

Hi,

I have compl, etely reconfigured the model.  I tabled the steel pipe columns (as presented by the clients draftsman). I added 6 x 6 RC columns and got to to no fall down. I did have the separate structure error. which continues.

Somehow between the RC columns and when I got the building to stand, the building is now falling down.  I have added tons of concrete and added joist stiffiners but no matte what the building falls down.

I need help. Please.

Thanks Yu

Good Morning,

I am going to post on the forum. I suspect it is my wall design causing the problem.

Thanks

Neal
