Openings copy pasting as geometrical objects

Hi there,

I have trouble understanding this: I have some openings that I copy with a z translation so it should paste as opening, however, it is working on 6 levels and then it is pasting as geometrical object. As you can see on the picture below, the openings are not appearing while they exist as geometrical object in my object list.

Did someone already faced the same issue and can help me please?

Hi @ACh_D ,

I would recommend to mesh the panels and check - FE should not appear at the opening location.

Another option is to right click on the panel, select Object Properties - Geometry, press modify and apply (to "refresh" the geometry of the panel)

Hi @Romanich, thank you for your answer. Unfortunately, it did not work and while I succeeded to copy past as opening, the mesh is not taking that into consideration...  as you can see some openings are again appearing open but not all of them (cf below). "Refreshing" the object property did not work either.

I put my model as a zip if it can help you finding the cause and then give me advice.

 Hi @ACh_D ,

Let me guess, the model was imported from Revit, isn't it? The problem is that the openings and wall contour are not lying in one plane. You have to check and rectify your model.

Actually, no I have indeed try but the link between the two is really not working properly so everything in the file I have attached previously has been modelled directly on robot. I'll check my model but can you explain further as I model the openings by selecting the panel directly on the plan view.

Hi @ACh_D ,

Try to select one of the vertical walls and run this tool:

Also, have you tried to open the model using Repair mode?

None of this is working, can I ask you to open the previous zip file and see if you succeed to fix that so I can see if it is me doing something wrong or something else?

it seems to work for most of the project openings, thank you very much for the demonstration.
