Message - Linear load has not been applied to panel

Hi all,

I am getting the following error/message - 'Linear load has not been applied to panel'. but I do not know how to solve it.

I modelled the Water tank walls using two arcs and extruding them create the walls. Then, I created the openings using object combination, and applied the loads. I decided to apply the roof load using linear loads at the top edges of the wall/panel so i could simplified the model.  However, I am getting this messages every time i run the model.

I try deleting the loads and the panel and creating them again, but I keep getting the same message.

Could someone help me?

When you create arcs select discretization option, after that extrude and apply linear loads on edges.

Many thanks for your comment makFD9DZ.

I tried your steps but, unfortunately, it did not work - I am getting the same message.

I think it is related with the creation of the openings.

Do you have any other suggestion?

Cheers

Hi @Kevin.VillanuevaNYJQV ,

Try to exclude this object from the load distribution, i.e. assign the line load only to the tank walls

Hi @Kevin.VillanuevaNYJQV

The warning message may be incorrect.

Looking at sum of FZ reactions and global displacement it seems that the linear load is applied to the edge.

Pay attention to the hydrostatic pressure load.

I would swap Z direction on panel 58 to read results coherently in local direction

and then change the water weight from -1000 (kG/m3) to plus value.

Hi @Kevin.VillanuevaNYJQV

In that case I would recommend define arc discretized according to generated mesh (22 segments) along top cylinder edge, and apply load to this arc

Refer to video
