Hi experts here, i am doing load take down for a pedestrian bridge, the bridge is symmetrical but why the load at the support is not equal? I am thinking whether it is cause my distribution of forces due to stiffness of the member, but the bridge is symmetrical.

I think i know the problem already, is about the horizontal wind pressure i applied to the bridge, but i am still not able to validate the axial load values.

hi @efyjw7

Yes, but the results displayed in your view concern case like 10:COMB3 which includes wind, so you have vertical loads but also +- vertical wind action.

note that you'll need to define stability according to Y

Case 1: bars = (11.91  * 24.53 + 0.74 * 77.01) + panels = 11.34 * 24.53 => (292.2+56.2+278.2) / 4 env 157 ok

Case 2: bars = 2*14*2 + panels = (1+1)*5.4*14 => (56 + 151.2) / 4 =  51.8 ok

Case 3: panels = 5.4*14*(7.5+0.6) => 612.36 / 4 = 153.09 ok

Case 5: panels = (1.2+0.85) * 3.5 * 14 * 7.75 / 5.4 / 2  = 72.08 ; 0.40*5.4*14 / 4 = 7.56 => 72.08+7.56 = 79.64 ok / 72.08-7.56 = 64.52 ok

case 10:COMB3

=> 1.35*(156.8+51.8) + 1.50 * (153.09+79.64) =  630 ok

=> 1.35*(156.8+51.8) + 1.50 * (153.09-64.52) =  414 ok
