Hello!
I'm trying to study the effects of EC3 imperfections applied to a CAEP section (OTUA catalog)
The problem is that when I add an imperfection that follows the cross-section axis parallel to flanges, I obtain a deviated deformation.
I used an imperfection represented by a equivalent distributed force, as explained in figure 5.4 of the EN 1993-1-1:
e0 = 3 mm
q = 8 * Ned * e0 / L^2 = 8 * 16000 [daN] * 3 [mm] / (1600 [mm])^2 = 0,15 [daN / mm^2]
Thanks for the help!
Take a look below (look at loacal coordinate systems). I hope you have used correct section.

What I want to study is the case of a L-shaped cross section CAEP that presents an in-plane buckling.
That's why I chosed that section and not the CAE section.
It will be very hard to check this for CAEP sections. Take a look at Local Coordinate system.
