Hollow core slabs

Hi

Does anybody know of good ways to treat hollow core slabs when analysing a structure?

I know that some people model the slabs with correct thickness, defines density = 0, and then defines a load for the dead-weight of the slabs.

Opninions?? Is this the best way?

Thanks! 🙂 This seems to be better than defining density = 0.

Hello,

Just follow up question, how will you specify if the hollow core unit,ie, 200 mm thk HC needs to have a unit weight,ie, of 2.75 kN/m2?
