Hallo everyone,

I need to add uniform loads during the area, bounded by nodes 280-281-282-283, and ste second one on the rest of the floor area. The force is in kN/m2. How to do that? The structure is container.

hi @marijapoljak

you can create cladding and apply area loads. The surface loads are distributed according to the span direction and the selected or excluded elements.

hi @marijapoljak

Go to load distribution, and apply a type (one or two way)

Hi there,

Good responses.

I do have a question though. If I have a horizontal X brace on that floor, how do avoid it being loaded by the cladding?

Thanks in advance

Select all braces and in the object inspector tick  the arrow in analyse then "ignore"

Thank you for your reply. So if I click ignore on analyse, then they will not function as intended to provide lateral stability, no?

No," ignore" means that claddings will not transfer loads to selected beams.
Bracings will obviously fonction as intended
