Execution Error 1470 - Model regularly crashes

My model was working a week ago and recently it keeps crashing.

Certain elements of the program aren't working correctly. 

- I have an autosave setting every 10mins which is no longer prompting me.

- When I translate a member, it will show the nodes translated but will only show the member when I analyse the model.

- When I intersect two members it will only show the members broken after I analsye the model.

Three times today I have get an error during my analysis before the model becomes unusable. For example I got an 'Execution Error 1470' in the latest crash. And then the following warning comes up:

'Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Professional system detected an internal error that may lead to loss of data contained in the current project. To avoid data loss, it is necessary to save the current project immediately and re-open it in safe mode'.

Then the save function will not work and I am forced to close the program without saving. Before I close I notice that the all concrete panels have permanently disappeared and that only the FE mesh that was in the panels remains.

Please can you advise.

I had the same problem several times. Error 1470 appears when I was working in the provided reinforcement module and I tried to run the model calculation again. Reopening in the repair mode doesn't help. Even more remarkable is that the file is lost after closing. There is only a *.bak file in my project directory.

What is the solution to this problem?

I'm sorry but I don't know what the solution was as I sent the file to Autodesk and they resolved it for me.

For me, I find that when I work for too long on a file then it tends to get these problems. Perhaps the software retains and remembers old data after you delete a member or load, which after a while slows and causes problems to the file (but I am only guessing and have no proof of this).

I hope that you find a solution.

I have the same experience. Whatever the cause is, it should be solved by

As far as I can you you solved your issue by yourself opening file in repair mode

Can you describe what you are doing in provided refinf module as there is no RC design object in your file.

As far as I can see Error 1470 (default cause) is related to opening \ running calculations on file with read-only attribute or opened from CD\DVD.

It might not be relevant in this case.

please check free disk space where the file is stored, 

please check free disk space where windows %temp% is stored, 

delete all files from windows %temp% before next robot start

I'm sorry for not contacting you earlier but I have missed this topic 

Do you still have the same issues? If yes, could you confirm that you use the Save button to store changes in your model? 

If this is the case try to use Save as and type a new name of the file instead and let me know if this solves issues with disappearing rtd files and error 1470. Thank you.

Artur,

First I tried to use the save button more often, but that didn't solve the
problem en te crashes kept occuring. Then I used the save as button, to
consecutively make new files/models. This was partly a solution. I did not
lose my entire model, but still I lost the work I had been doing since the
last save. I still lost the last file I was working on.
