Hello!
I could try import and export with Revit and Robot 2016 two years ago.
It persists on R2018.1 and, worse, it happens no only in R2018.1 but also in R2016.
I read about that issue in Autodesk Knowledge Network
REVIT TO ROBOT LINK - run time error exporting model from Revit to Robot
and also in several thread in this forum. The proposed solution is copying DRevit2Robot.dll file from
c:\Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\Extensions 2018\Modules\RSA\DRevit2Robot\DRevit2Robot.dll
to
c:\Program Files\Autodesk\Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Professional 2018\System\Exe\
However, it did not work.
I could by-pass the issue importing from Robot instead of exporting from Revit. It is a partial by-pass, because importing for Robot we cannot use Adittional options that we can use if clclicking Ctrl Key + Robot Structural Analysis Link command. If I do that, this error pops up.
Some times appeared another aditional message
Ok, foregoing issues happen when I try to send model from Revit to Robot. Finally I did it importing from Robot, so I could change something in Robot and then I tried to export to Revit, the worst is yet to come.
If I export from Robot to Revit, this message pops up, nothing happens and Robot crashes.
"Waiting for Revit Structure"
If I import from Revit, it complais there is not a project available in Robot.
"A structure project must be available in Robot"
So I cannot take changes nor rebars from Robot to Revit.
It happens with all files I have tried. I attach the last I did. It its made from
C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\RVT 2018\Templates\US Metric\Structural Analysis-DefaultMetric.rte
It has only two columns and a beam.
