Hi everyone.
According to AISC 360 - 16, the (G) (joint stiffness) factor for inelastic columns should be multiplied by (Ta) (Table 4-21 of the manual) which is equal to (Et/E) or (Fr (inelastic) / Fr (elastic).
As far as I know robot is calculating the effective length factor(k) based on elastic column alignment charts even for inelastic columns.
Robot perfectly recognizes the column behavior (Elastic or Inelastic) in the steel design calculation but in the calculation of (k) it always calculates based on elastic column alignment charts even for inelastic columns.
Is there any way to tell the robot to calculate (k) based on actual column behavior ??
