Design of multiple elements

Hello,

I have been trying to model the below structure on Robot and have some questions regarding how to model it. Is there a way to design the structure such that the object(solid steel material) in which the load is being applied is clamped down by the beam above it? Is there a way to design a connection between the hollow section and the beam even though there is a large gap between them? Also the hollow section will be anchored to the ground in real life and will have stiffeners attached to plates which will be anchored into the ground to resist movement can this be modelled in robot or what would be my best bet to model this? I would need a finite element analysis of the stresses in the structure to check if the capacities will hold in practice.

I have attached a rough sketch of the problem as well as the robot file I have been trying to model it with.

Thanks in advance,

Hi @Anonymous

I'd rather model it with panels  as a shell model so that I could  display stress distribution as maps:
