Create a panel from finite element mesh

Hi,

 

Q1: I received a model from an engineering bureau created using Robot2016, while opening the model with the same version of the software I get an error telling me that the software was created with a recent version of the software. I don't know why I get this error.

 

Q2: In the model I find finite element mesh but not the panel assigned to this mesh, how can I create a panel from this mesh.

Q1: I received a model from an engineering bureau created using Robot2016, while opening the model with the same version of the software I get an error telling me that the software was created with a recent version of the software. I don't know why I get this error.

 

Q2: In the model I find finite element mesh but not the panel assigned to this mesh, how can I create a panel from this mesh.

Hi,

Check which service pack were installed. You can see thsi information in the file properties e.g. 30.0.2 stands for RSA 2017 SP2.

Select the elements of the mesh and use them to create a panel in the way shown below:
