control visibility of elements in model

I have created a solid model with solid elements (soil) connecting to panel elements (concrete retaining wall)

using dummy bars.  The model is cogent, no errors.  I would like to turn of the visibility of the dummy bars (need to remain active; but hidden).  I don't seem to be able to get the Object Inspector Group to work other to turn off the folder in the OI.  Can active elements within the model be hidden? If so, how?

Thank you for consideration.

Thank you for your response.  I have that down now.  Can I save selection set?  I seem to logjam on grouping a selection.

Again, your response is appreciated.

Groups have to be separated . You can create a Solids Group , a Panels group and select them one at a time before opening in another window.

Or you can create a group with the dummy bars  , then select all your model and unselect the group of dummy bars before opening in another window.

Or more directly , select this group of dummy bars  and then, with CTRL key pressed, select the whole model . Everything will be selected except the dummy bars.
